Amber Woods draws inspiration from woodland at its most atmospheric — warm light filtering between trees, rich earth beneathfoot and the deep, enveloping colours of the changing seasons.

Earthy tones and layered mixed media create a tactile surface reminiscent of bark, stone, leaves and weathered natural forms. Areas of warmth appear to glow against deeper passages, giving the painting a sense of light travelling through a landscape.
