Inspired by the graceful forms and distinctive markings of birch trees, Whispering Birch captures the quiet rhythm of a woodland landscape without depicting it literally.

Layers of mixed media build a surface filled with subtle marks, organic movement and natural variation. Light and darker

tones interact across the canvas, suggesting glimpses of bark,

branches and changing light while leaving space for

individual interpretation.

There is a sense of stillness within the work, but also movement — as though the landscape is gently shifting in a breeze.

Whispering Birch reflects a recurring theme within my work: our instinctive connection with nature and the feeling of calm that can come simply from being surrounded by it.
