Into the Woods is inspired by the quiet mystery and depth of the natural landscape — the feeling of looking beyond the surface and becoming immersed in something unknown.

Built through layers of deep texture and expressive abstract marks, soft stone, misty grey and earthy brown tones emerge and recede across the canvas. The vertical forms hint at trees disappearing into mist, while the heavily worked surface gives the painting an almost weathered, elemental quality.

Atmospheric and contemplative, Into the Woods explores our connection with nature and the sense of stillness, discovery and escape that comes from stepping away from the everyday and into the landscape.
