Created in 2020, Magnificent belongs to an earlier period of exploration in my abstract practice and reflects a fascination with the vastness and mystery of the cosmos.

Smoky greys, deep charcoal and earthy tones are interrupted by flashes of warmth and light, creating the impression of something celestial emerging from darkness. The composition feels expansive despite its physical boundaries, inviting the imagination beyond the surface of the canvas.

There is something deliberately unknowable about Magnificent. It celebrates the scale and mystery of the universe and our own small place within it — a reminder that beauty can often be found in things we cannot completely understand.
